Day 1

I have finally arrived in London after hours of traveling!! It is now 9:40pm here... 4:40pm in DC... I have been awake for over 24 hours (minus a 1 1/2 hour nap) so I'm definitely getting ready to go to sleep.

But first:

Things I Learned in London After 1 Day

1. Jaywalking is the only way to cross the street. Also, crosswalks are called zebras, apparently.

2. Pedestrians do not have the right of way. Cars will hit you and you're still in the wrong... and believe me, they will try.

3. The bikers are worse about the above than the drivers because they don't have turn signals.

4. All cities smell the same.

5. Everything has a really cool name.

6. Every street in a neighborhood is named after all of the same things, making it super confusing.

7. 24 hour time.

8. Free stuff rocks. Thanks Spring semester kids!

9. Living in between 2 parks makes for a great view.
